I had a surprise visitor in the garden on Saturday. I stood up from my desk, took a glance out of the window to see this Sparrowhawk tucking into one of the pigeons. I grabbed the camera (let this be a lesson-always have a camera to hand!!) & did my best to creep out into the garden to take a few snaps.
Not the best of photographs but I think I was lucky to get any considering it was blowing a gale outside the the bird was quite nervous.
Poor pidgeon but as my dear dad would have said, "It's nature love ...".
